Liven up a Room With Soft Furnishings

There are many ways to add a bit of spice to a room. It’s obvious that a new paint job will do just that; but most likely painting will be time consuming, expensive and incredibly messy. Not only that but you will usually need to move your possessions out of the room before beginning, complicating the task even more. Here are a few suggestions to change the look of your room or simply give it a brighter and more friendly feel. Using soft furnishings is usually a quick and effective means without any mess. Soft furnishings include the use of designer or coloured fabrics for cushions and even additional seating where it is needed.

If you are thinking that your room seems a little drab and colourless the simple solution is to use bright fabrics. If your room’s basis is towards warmer colours, for example the room is painted reds, yellows, browns, etc. then it could well benefit from the use of cream and ivory coloured fabrics.
