Bean Bags in Business

You may think of bean bags as simply a piece of furniture for comfort in the home. They are that; but domestic use isn’t their only use. They can be the perfect item of furniture for a business. They come in a variety of styles and colours making each one different. Many contemporary bars and cafés recently have started using these as a means of standing out, because they are easy to wash and are durable.

Where most cafés, cocktail bars and clubs will use standard seating, the innovative few are switching to giant bean bags. Firstly they are an odd and very different sight in business; this is a very good thing because people like difference and businesses are constantly seeking it. An average cocktail bar can become very cool and comfortable; inevitably increasing public interest and therefore increasing revenue by this simple addition.

Using bean bag seating makes sense not just from an identity perspective but also for cleaning and maintenance reasons. Some fabric used in their making is water resistant and so not only will spills likely not seep through to the inside but they can be wiped off avoiding stickiness without fear of water soaking in. When it becomes time to give them a thorough clean, the innards are easily removed if an inner liner is used so that the entire exterior can be washed without hassle. Any opposition of the idea would probably say that the entire issue with spills can be avoided by using plastic or metal chairs. They would be quite right. They do ignore with their solution, however, that people, and more specifically people who have gone out to a bar to relax, like to be comfortable and would rather go somewhere that can offer them just that.

Bean-filled chairs are pretty much as comfortable a piece of furniture as it gets; where alternatively hard, metal or plastic chairs are not, voiding any benefit from ease of cleaning; if nothing is spilled on them, they won’t need cleaning!
Not only do they have these benefits but you may need to replace plastic, wooden or metal chairs as overuse will mean that legs snap or bend and back supports fall off. The same cannot be said for the alternative. The material used in their construction is tough and durable, tied together with nylon cord, which is incredibly strong. The likelihood of their breaking is minimal and with the other benefits it is no surprise that some businesses have already cottoned on.
